Forensic medicine department in ASRAM medical college is running successfully since the inception of college. Providing quality education to MBBS students is the top most priority of our department. We have 3 post- graduate i.e MD (Forensic medicine) seats available. The teaching is handled by eminent Professors and qualified faculty members and classes are held in a spacious air conditioned lecture theatres. We also have air conditioned demonstration hall and practical hall. We are glad that this department is fully recognised by Medical Council of India.

Results:

Every year most of the students of our college are getting distinction and 1st class marks in Forensic Medicine and also our students are getting university 1st / 2nd / 3rd in Forensic Medicine.The regular annual passing result of MBBS students is 98 %.

CMEs:

Till now we have conducted two CMEs in ASRAM Medical college and also have research paper publications in Indexed Journals. Our department have standard museum displaying different type of weapons, poisons, human bones, charts, photographs, thus allowing MBBS student a quality exposure in respect to Forensic field. We also have well equipped modern mortuary. We also have well maintained departmental library consisting of books by international, national and local authors. We have journals related to our subject of both national and international fame in our department library as well as college central library.

Furthermore we also provide medicolegal consultaion from time to time in matters of state where knowledge of Forensic Medicine is required. In terms of infrastructure and facilities, Forensic Medicine department of ASRAM medical college is one of the best in Andhra Pradesh.
